Afghanistan

Obama is facing an increasingly unpopular war and a serious threat to the U.S. from terrorism but what will he do? The liberals attacked George W. Bush incessantly for his "failed" war in Iraq and the liberal media is hoping that Obama will not send more troops to Afghanistan. Obama is reaching out to international community to seek assistance in the fight against terrorism in the Afghan war and suprise the international community is not forthcoming with support ideas or bravery. Obama needs to realize one basic fundamental fact America is one of the few countries on Earth capable of fighting evil and combating its cancerous influence.  President Obama stated:
"This is not an American battle," "This is a Nato mission as well and we are working actively and diligently to consult with Nato at every step of the way."
The problem is NATO is only good at one thing and that is failing!  This is an American battle it is a battle to protect America from the threat of overseas terrorism striking targets inside America.  The President has questioned how to proceed in Afghanistan the path forward seems obvious go with the recommendation of General McChrystal then what is the problem?  According to a BBC article:
[T]here are said to be divisions in the White House over any further deployment, amid a drop in public support for the operation.

Rising troop deaths and the chaos over last month's fraud-riddled election have contributed to the loss of confidence in the Afghan mission.
This is beginning to sound a lot like the liberals attack on the Iraq war.  American casualities are a sad but necessary part of the war on terror and the sacrifice of service members who give their lives in the cause of freedom should not be tarnished by liberal politics and a tendency to cut and run in the face of adversity.

The BBC article then goes on to state that
The Obama administration is said to be torn between increasing troop numbers as requested or adopting a new strategy that prioritises crushing al-Qaeda over nation-building.
The war in Afghanistan has never been about nation building the goal has always been the extermination of terrorists and their terror training camps.  Obama should not lose sight of the primary mission of the Afghan war.  Building a functioning state in Afghanistan is liking building cities of sand and then complaining when the inevitable tide comes and devastates your hard work.  We are in Afghanistan to crush terrorism and those who support terrorism building a nation should be left to the Afghans.  By achieving victory we will honor the ultimate sacrifice of those who gave their life for this noble cause.  Mr. President come back from your Danish vacation and make actual EXECUTIVE DECISIONS that protect AMERICA instead of acting as Chicago's Good WILL AMBASSADOR.
