HOLD ON AMERICA MY HOMETOWN NEEDS ME

President Barack Obama is facing a number of serious issues and I have no doubt that he is extremely busy and concerned with the situation in Afghanistan and trying to pass health care reform that we do not need.  Then my question is why is the POTUS out STUMPING for Chicago to host the 2016 Olympics.  Normally, Presidents perform this sort of pointless blathering statesmanship after they have served their elected term of office.  Certainly if Michelle Obama wants to make the pitch for Chicago hosting the 2016 Olympics that is fine but why is the President spending tax payer money to bring the Olympics to his adopted hometown.  In fact according to Fox News

Obama would be the first U.S. president to take on such a direct role in lobbying for an Olympics event.

This is not surprising considering the fact that it is not the role of the POTUS to make cheap sales pitches on behalf of one city.  No actually his job is to be the leader of the entire United States of America.  Apparently this was too hard for Chicago's most famous community organizer so he got back to what he knows best wasting tax payer money drumming up support where it otherwise didn't exist.

Critics have speculated according to Fox News whether such a trip is proper given the serious issues currently facing the nation as a whole.
Don't worry about that people Obama has stated:

His trip is expected to be brief, but some critics questioned whether it is appropriate for the president to hit pause on other pressing issues like health care reform and Iran's nuclear program to pitch his hometown.

So far in Obama's first year in office we have seen him apologize, apologize and then apologize again for all of America's sins both real and imagined and jet around the world looking spectacular in his expensive suits next to his smartly dressed wife.  The question however remains what has President Obama accomplished so far?  The preliminary answers are not favorable to Obama.  According to a strange report by CBS news and reported by NewsBusters,  Obama hasn't really accomplished ANYTHING.

Well he has been doing SOMETHING that something is bribing Democrats to drop out of closely contested primaries.  Drop out of this primary and you can work for Obama, Inc. that sounds awfully close to being illegal and certainly unethical.
