Hatred by any other name

First I need to extend my deepest condolences and prayers to the nation of Norway and the family of the innocent victims slaughtered by a madman seeking a new revolution to "cleanse" Europe.  I believe that this horrible incident of mass murder is a good opportunity to speak about the issue of intolerance and Islamophobia.  In almost all media outlets as word of the Norway massacre slowly seeped out there was a consesus forming that a muslim terrorist had committed this act of unspeakable horror.  Something struck me as wrong about this incident and as a Muslim I commented to my wife that this does not seem right.  I was convinced that a Muslim was not responsible for this act of mass murder.  Also I believe that no true follower of Islam would ever commit an act such as this because Islam is a religion of peace and the true believers respect all humanity.  Those who claim to follow Islam and preach hate or death they are lost and will reside in the hell fire because they have twisted and distorted the message of the Prophet Muhammad (PBH) and the All Knowing Creator, ALLAH.  Eventually the media released information that the Norwegian murderer was not a Muslim in fact he was a virulent Islamophobic, Xenophobic delusional "Christian".  I will go on the record as stating that this monster is not a Christian anymore than Osama Bin Laden is a Muslim.  Both of these fools are demons or some form of evil lower animal.  As time passed this lunatics writing and ramblings via a manifesto were released and what we learned was very troubling essentially this murderer wanted to punish Norway for accepting foreign immigration and cleanse his country through some sort of violent upheaval.  It is important to note that many "respectable" websites such as Atlas Shrugged and Jihad Watch were among the preferred and recommend sites of this sociopath.  The point is very simple websites like Atlas Shrugged pose as libertarian free thinking website but they are beacons of hate and intolerance and a meeting point and inspiration for psychopaths such as the Norway murderer.  I have not used his name because I will not honor him by addressing him by first name he does not deserve this respect from me or anyone else.  Bottom line websites that preach hate whether they are neo-con, xenophobic, jihadist or pretending to be libertarian only accomplish one thing and that thing is promotion of hate and ignorance.

CAIN

There was a lot of people making excuses for Herman Cain when he made offensive comments about his stance on allowing Muslims to serve on his Cabinet.  Well there can no longer be a defense of this idiot he is a full-blown islamophobe and/or a hypocrite.  He says that he is not against Islam or Muslims but believes that communities should be allowed to ban mosques from being built in their towns.  His reasoning well Islam is different because it includes a set of laws aka the infamous and often misunderstood Sharia law and also a religion.  Mr. Cain is an idiot, a bigot and clearly not an Islamic scholar this people repeatedly slander Islam with only the most elementary and highly distorted view of what our religion actually entails.  It is a sad and terrifying prospect that an imbecile like Herman Cain could be the next POTUS.  This is also a teachable moment that hate speech has no position among civilized people and for the GOP an opportunity to demonstrate whether they stand with religious freedom or with close-minded bigotry.

Now that Obama's bounce in the polls from killing USL has come and gone some people are asking what happened?  I mean Obama personally wrestled and choked out the world's most wanted terrorist and he only got a two week bump in opinion polls what gives?  Well to quote the Democrats it's the economy stupid!  I mean you know the economic outlook is bleak when old Ronald McDonald the timeless clown might be getting the boot.  Apparently some people want McDonald's to fire Ronald McDonald which makes perfect sense given the nation's outrageously high unemployment rate.  Normally in times of crisis I am the first person to shout send in the clowns or in this case the clown but the cry will be for naught because the clown has been fired.

TRAP THEM

Not that one band with the loud music and "cool" attitude no I am referring to cornering a female and then impregnating her in order to have a new generation of Buffalo sports fans.  Of course I am not advocating having new Bills fans out of wedlock that is what Jets fans or god forbid PATRIOTS fans do.  No we Bills fans are of a higher calling and breeding stock we marry our ladies before planting the seeds of tomorrow.  Is that creepy?  To sit and think about reproducing just to increase the Marv Levy army?  If you agree that breeding to fill out the season ticket rolls of Ralph Wilson Stadium is one of your main duties in life then this will be right up your sick and twisted little alley.  Losing is the legacy I will pass onto my progeny and this is our lifestyle go BILLS!

Am I an animal hoarder?

On a lighter note my beautiful wife sent me this article yesterday about a proposed animal hoarding law which caused me to have an existential crisis of sorts.    Basically for people who do not like to read Illinois lawmakers are proposing a law that would define someone who owns more than six companion animals as an "animal hoarder"  My wife and I are the proud owners of thirteen animals: two stray cats, a cockatiel, and ten turtles many of them rescue turtles.  I fully agree that animal hoarding is problematic but then I thought seven is not that many pets after all I have thirteen in a two bedroom apartment.  This law is problematic for two reasons: (1) what right does the legislature have to just arbitarily tell someone how many cats they can have absent a threat to public health and (2) in theory I can kill most animals for food even boil them alive but it is problematic to take in six or more abused animals this seems to be ridiculous right?  Then the crisis started and I was faced with the abyss of determining whether or not I was an unrepetant animal hoarder.  I went back and forth in my mind between being a mentally ill hoarder and a vegan defense attorney animals rights crusader who takes in the huddled masses of abused animals.  After hours of soul searching I came up with the following theory if you have more animals than you can handle both humanely and hygenically then you are a hoarder and this should be illegal.  Having ten turtles is far different than having ten cats or ten dogs also I decided not to move to Illinois and push my luck.  However, if you do not hear from me for several months it is possible that I have been arrested as a prisoner of conscious for refusing to obey a new Ohio animal hoarding law.  Power to the vegans!  I will not surrender my rescue animals until you surrender your hamburger.

Breaking my silence on the King hearings

I have been stewing for several weeks on the Congressional Hearing being lead by the gentleman Mr. King from Long Island and I can no longer remain silent. I am deeply offended and concerned by such proceedings and wonder what the real purpose is and what can possibly come out of these hearings that will be productive. Mr. King claims that he will not cower to the forces of political correctness but when did treating any group of citizens with respect become political correctness. Holding domestic hearings to address the concern of home-grown jihadists is both pointless and unproductive. You might be thinking but the threat of home grown terrorism is real and tangible that is correct but I would ask you this question what is the purpose of Homeland Security? Allegedly the purpose and mission of The Department of Homeland Security according to their website is "[t]he Department's mission is to ensure a homeland that is safe, secure, and resilient against terrorism and other hazards"  We the taxpayers and citizens of America have a government Agency responsible for investigating, monitoring and preventing domestic threats and it is called the Department of Homeland Security.  We do not need a big brother police state where fear and paranoia cause neighbors to begin spying on each other. Then I come back to my earlier question and expand on the thought we have been told by our government that we need to trust DHS and that they will save us from internal threats so then why does Mr. King feel that he needs to additionally educate and inform us about the threat of domestic terrorism the answer is simple Mr. King either on purpose or inadvertently is sowing the seeds and climate of fear and paranoia. More specifically a fear and paranoia regarding Islam and Muslims and vague shadowy insinuations about some vast web of danger. If Mr. King was interested in informing America about domestic threats through public hearings then why did Mr. King not expand the scope of his hearing to include the vast penumbra of domestic threats to include: street gangs, white supremacy, and vast number of other scattered unaffiliated psychopaths. No Mr. King showed his true colors by only focusing like a laser of intolerance on one group of Americans: THE MUSLIMS. The last terrorist attack on American soil involving an airplane crashing into a Federal Building was not a Muslim it was an anti-government Caucasian Atheist who hated immigrants, organized religion, the IRS and the government crashed his small plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas. Also the tragedy in Tucson where a Caucasian Atheist murdered scores of innocent people including a Federal Judge and seriously injured a sitting Congresswoman.  Finally, the case of the White Supremacist in Oregon who planned to blow up a bomb at a MLK, Jr. day celebration with the express purpose of killing as many people as possible.  None of these terrorists were Muslims so then why not extend the hearings to include disgruntled Caucasian males of undetermined faith? Shame on you Mr. King shame on you for bringing more negative press to a hard-working faith community for the express purpose of cheap political theater. Honestly, if you wanted to warn Americans your hearings would have been more inclusive more informative and not a doom and gloom scare session to trump up the specter of an Islamic boogeyman lurking under Uncle Sam's bed. America has government agencies that monitor domestic threats we do not need domestic show trials that ultimately drag America's overwhelming majority of peace loving and patriotic Muslims into the slime through guilt by association with a handful of murders, thugs and malcontent psychopaths.  I have no problem with inquires into radicalization within the U.S. Islamic community and I realize that there are Muslims in this Country who are spreading a gospel of hate and destruction but these people will not be thwarted or foiled in their diabolical plans by show hearings led by a person who has shown that he is no friend to Muslims.  Extremism in the American Islamic community is a problem that can only be addressed with the open and honest engagement of the American Islamic community it is our problem and we need to address it; however, if Muslims are demonized, marginalized and disenfranchised then cooperation will be hard to come by.  We have law enforcement and other government agencies that keep all American citizens safe from harm including terrorism but if a particular group is thrust to the margin and mistreated they will be reluctant if not unwilling to come forward and aid law enforcement.  Muslims in America deserve respect and we deserve better than the useless preening of these show hearings.  Mr. King engage us as Americans as brothers and sisters we will embrace you in the same manner.  This Country is the greatest Country on Earth because we learned to overcome our differences be it sex, religion, skin color and the Muslims are committed to making this Country great.  Approach us with dignity and respect and we will continue to address the criminal and extremist elements in our midst, but if we marginalized and demonized we will turn inward and avoid being harmed this is basic and this is human.  I finish with the speech by Congressman Ellis do not live with hate in your heart or the darkness will consume you.

NOT MY BROTHER

Apparently if you have not accepted Jesus as your lord and savior you are not a biological relative of Alabama's new governor.  Honestly who makes such an asinine comment on MLK, Jr. day and what exactly does this clown mean you are not my brothers and sisters.  Statements like this are alarming in their vagueness and the speaker's apparent desire to exclude non-Christians from full recognition.  Here is a newsflash this Country is not a Christian nation it is a nation of freedom and that means tolerance and freedom for all religions.  Also I have four siblings three nephews (soon to be four) and a niece and you know what not all of my relatives are Christian but they are all my relatives.  My siblings are Christian I am a Muslim I do not consider any member of my family to be inferior or lesser because of their relationship with GOD or as I call him ALLAH.  This offends me to the depths of my soul that this buffoon is an elected official and that people are defending his comments.

Am I losing touch with reality

This is a serious question I am posing to my 2 blog readers has the whole world gone crazy or is it me who is crazy?  I am just a regressive ape-man who cannot understand the "gay" love between two vultures and the outrage at their separation.  Apparently in Germany the land of my ancestors and tolerance (that part was not meant  to be funny) two male vultures flying around the aviary decided that they much preferred the company of each other to the company of the female vultures.  Apparently these two male vultures even nest together and now it has been decided that they are gay.  How you decide that a vulture is gay is beyond me unless the vultures are getting down and even if these vultures are gay who cares right?  Apparently two sides in Germany the zookeepers and the gay rights activists no this is not a joke just completely hilarious.  First of all, is there really a need for gay rights activists to come out (no pun intended) and protest the separation of two gay vultures.  Secondly, why are these gay vultures being separated this is a non-issue people is there some vulture shortage that requires these two gay birds to reproduce if not then I say let them nest together and be gay vultures.  Also have gay rights activists achieved all of their desires and objectives such that they are now focused with laser precision on sexual equality for vultures.  I am done fighting for gay human rights and it is now time to fight for our gay animal friends.  Honestly, the world is going to hell and everyone is worried about homosexual vultures this is  truly the first sign of the impending apocalypse.  Germany lighten up let the gay vultures fly over rainbows of tolerance it is thanksgiving after all.

Predictable response

This could be one of the most serious international incidents facing the Obama administration if you do not count the last time North Korea launched an unprovoked attack on South Korea while the U.S. stood by slack-jawed looking weak and stupid.  When a North Korean submarine fired a torpedo sinking a South Korean vessel and killing dozens of South Korean sailors the U.S. predictably stated we support our ally in South Korea but did nothing to halt this aggressive and unwarranted behavior by the military dictatorship of North Korea and its evil midget ruler.  Apparently North Korea has attacked again launching missiles at a South Korean island which contains both service members and civilians and what does America do?  Once again we warn against further aggresive behavior this is like warning to take a child's ice cream cone if they continue to commit arson in their playroom.  America needs to be decisive and strong and send a message to the despotic midget ruler of North Korea we will crush you and your pathetic regime at will.  However, there remains one inconvenient truth China supports their North Korean puppet and China owns American through treasury bonds and other assets, loans etc due to America's love affair with deficiet spending for unfunded entitlements.  Thank you welfare and bridges to nowhere we are know beholden to the communists and why not I mean if our Chinese sugar daddy continues to feed the Federal Reserve's drug habit and the Federal Government's irresponsible spending why shouldn't we abandon an old ally to the talons of a midget dictator and his communist puppet masters.  I am no fan of war as a general rule but America is not adverse to military exercises in futility i.e. vietnam and afghanistan or the more popular proxy war Angola, Central America but our personal favorite beating up on the pathetic Grenada, Panama and Iraq.  Given our track record of fighting tinpot dictators and engaging in long protracted wars of attrition (see above). Why would America not jump at the chance to smash North Korea once and for all.  Oh yeah forgot about that unfunded entitlement spending it is a real killer(just ask the South Koreans) when you cannot pay your debts whether it Joe the Ragman or Uncle Sam.

A lot of people demand that Muslims speak out and that we participate in dialogue to further peace and understanding between the Islamic and Non-Islamic world.  To me this is confusing I do not differentiate between the Islamic and Non-Islamic world because I live in the only world I am aware and this world is not bisected or balkanized by religion.  Having said all of that a Saudi Royal Prince has spoken in favor of moving the misnamed "Ground Zero" mosque to another less offensive location.  There you go America as I said the location of the Mosque is irrelevant it is the fact that some people  in this country want to ban our freedom to practice our religion.  Move the Mosque and end this senseless debate!!

GPS Tracking: The demise of a free Nation

In times of confusion and strife tryants will arise among the people and attempt to steer the conversation into the arena of the absurd and the ridiculous.  I will be the first person to stand up and point out that Islamic extremists pose a grave threat to America's national security and that we must be vigilant about the threat that this terrorists pose to our safety and well-being.  However, I do not believe that in times of war the government is justified in sacrificing our basic civil liberties on the altar of expediency and knee-jerk reactions.  In case you did not know various law enforcement officers in America have begun conducting unwarranted gps placement and subsequent tracking of the movement of free citizens in America.  In particular it is my understand that SUPRISE! the American-Islamic community is being targeted with little to no evidence or provocation for the simple offense of belief in Islam.  What is scary about this process is that it invests law enforcement with the power to decide at will when and where to monitor the movements of American citizens who have never done anything wrong.  Imagine the wide open areas of abuse for such a carte blanche endorsement to run rampant over political enemies, underprivileged people and unpopular groups of people.  If law enforcement or the federal government feels that they have reasonable suspicion or probable cause to monitor the movements of someone within the continental U.S. there is a process for obtaining a legal search warrant.  People will no doubt scoff at this and say well this is merely a tool in fighting the global war on terrorism and crime.  Is it really?  Let's suppose that is does assist the federal government and local law enforcement in apprehending and preventing various types of crime including but not limited to terrorism that is not in and of itself a justification.  The problem with warrantless survilleance by GPS is that it invades the privacy of the person being watched without a legal justification or reason.

The case about unwarranted GPS monitoring recently re-ignited because while having an oil change performed it was discovered that a strange wire was coming from the gas tank of a Muslim-American of Arab descent.  The device was removed by the oil change service station and the FBI contacted the Service Station and demanded back their equipment.  No explanation was given for why this man never convicted of any crime and only working and living in America paying taxes and obeying the law was being monitored without a warrant.  No wait a reason was given this man was guilty of the heinous crime of having extensive contacts in the Middle East!  Definitely suspicious considering the man is from gasp! Egypt an American ally located in you guessed it the Middle East.  The real problem is that when the precedent is set that the government can do whatever it wants under the pathetic and overused guise of NATIONAL security the only thing that becomes more secure is the draconian grip of the government around the throat of free citizens.

GOP and the O'Donnell Problem

As a Conservative Libertarian I tend to vote the GOP ticket but I am troubled by Christine O'Donnell and it has little to do with soft allegations about masterbation or witchcraft.  Honestly I do not care about such red herring issues and I focus like a laser on the issues that matter to me small efficient government, free markets and low taxes while still ensuring freedom and justice for all Americans.  The real problem with Christine O'Donnell she is not a very good candidate and she showed this lack of political chops in the first debate.  It would be much too easy to dismiss O'Donnell as stupid or as a right wing extremist I do not think this hyperbole properly captures O'Donnell the candidate.  What Chrisitine O'Donnell is an unremarkable and uninteresting bland average American of average intelligence neither good nor bad.  While the basic tenants of her CONSERVATIVE message sound really progressive and great for America in this time of economic despair and recession when held to the light of scrutiny the are exposed as airy false platitudes.  Candidates like O'Donnell have no idea how to win a fierce political election and they have no understanding or real game plan for getting America back on track.  Standing against Obama and the Liberal Democrats sounds great on paper but what does it really mean?  Also acting like statements about witchcraft, failing to maintain your personal finances and taking hardline stances on sexual issues will not matter in an election are simply naive.  O'Donnell almost seems oblivious that she could be attacked because she is after all the TEA party child of light and justice.  What is most telling about O'Donnell was her inability to name one single Supreme Court case in recent years that she objects to based on her political beliefs this from a chest beating fist pumping Social Conservative.  Republicans still have not gotten the message it is the economy stupid not masterbation or prayer in school that wins popular elections social conservatism wins GOP primaries but the wider public does not care about your values as much as they care about their families economic security.  America is made up of many different kinds of family a wide panorama of faiths, values and belief systems and this is lost on many social conservatives.  There are two family value that extends across all faith/ethnic groups and that is love and respect.  Christine O'Donnell may or may not be a nice person she maybe a conservative but she is not a great candidate and she looks clueless when held to the fire so how will she govern?

SUMMER OF RECOVERY Meet the British Winter of discontent

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN from having to pay her heating bill!  Apparently while everyone is poolside sipping fruity drinks and enjoying the robust American economy during the Obama summer of recovery the British Royal Monarchy is recovering from a gaffe which occured during the winter of British discontent.  Apparently the Queen of England tried to get money from a fund which subsidizes heating bills to aid low-income britons in order to pay the enormous heating bill in the Royal Palace.  Apparently one of the world's richest people cannot afford to heat her oversized home!  At least in America we can take comfort in knowing that the economy sucks everywhere and it sounds like if Obama can get over his anti-British feelings he can send some of his summer of recovery expertise across the pond to save the English.
